This poem made me cry as i realized that we are not the only parents who have felt this all consuming pain and heartache. Somehow it's comforting to know others have been there- it means we're not crazy and even possible, that we are not to blame. This fight is an effort to save his life. Sometimes it seems that no one else "gets it". Thanks for validating our emotions and giving hope! We are in turmoil searching for the right place for our troubled son.
